about

In preparation for the release of California’s Open Hand new album ‘Weirdo’ Blacktop Records have decided to dig through frontman Justin Isham’s own personal live bootleg collection and remaster soundboard audio from some of the band’s live sets. This series of live recordings is a perfect snapshot of Open Hand’s explosive live show showcasing the talents of the band’s different incarnations over the past 13 years.
The first release from this live series is a live concert dated June 27th 2002 that took place at the iconic CGBG’s in New York City, New York. The setlist features two unreleased songs titled ‘Inside’ and ‘Until I See Again’ as well as classic’s from the band’s Trustkill Records release ‘The Dream’ including ‘In Your Eyes’ ‘626’ ‘The Dream’ ‘Life As Is’ and ‘Radio Days’. The lineup on this particular tour consists of Justin Isham on vocals/guitar, Sean Woods on guitar, Sean ‘Rosie’ Rosenthal on bass and Alex Rodriguez of Saosin on drums. This concert was released back in 2003 on a promo disc that came with the now defunct Law Of Inertia magazine. The soundboard audio has been remastered and now available for digital download for the first time ever. This hard to find gem will be available on iTunes, Spotify & all other major digital retailers November 13th 2015.
